Lisa Adams, B.A., MBA, FIS – Bio


Lisa has been a certified Fitness Instructor (CAN FIT PRO) since 2002.  Since then, she has enjoyed teaching a variety of group fitness classes at the Fitness Centre such as Kickboxing, Step, Spin, Stretch, Learn-to-Run and Muscle Conditioning. 

Lisa discovered that a slow, gentle Yoga practice provided the tools to help her to heal and strengthen after two C-section deliveries and she decided to pursue certification in Yoga.  Through 2007 and 2008, Lisa completed her Module I & II training with Maureen Rae in Toronto, as well as attending the annual Yoga Convention.  This certification has allowed her to offer group classes and private one-on-one Yoga Stretch Training and Dynamic Yoga Strength training to benefit the participants with increased flexibility and strength, and improved balance.   Lisa likes to tell her participants that, “This is not your Grandmother’s yoga!"  The hour classes fly by with lots of movement and a variety of poses.

You'll often catch Lisa working out at the Fitness Centre where she first joined over 20 years ago.  Her kids, Jackson and Tate enjoy the kids room while Mom enjoys her workouts in either the studio or the gym.
